Now Travis Head has become the first player to score a century for SRH in the 17th season of the Indian Premier League. He scored a century in just 39 balls by hitting a four off Vijay Kumar Vishak in the 12th over of SRH's innings. He also hit 9 fours and 8 skyscraper sixes to score 100 runs. Travis Head has now become the fourth batsman to score a century in the current season of IPL. Before him, Virat Kohli, Jos Buttler and Rohit Sharma had also scored centuries. He is also the player to score the fastest century in IPL 2024. Before him, Virat had scored a century in 67 balls, Rohit Sharma had scored a century in 61 balls and Jos Buttler had scored a century in 58 balls.
Travis Head has completed his century in 39 balls and with this he has also become the player to score the fourth fastest century in the history of IPL. David Miller (38), Yusuf Pathan (37) and Chris Gayle (30) are ahead of him in terms of scoring the fastest century. Travis Head has now become the player to score the fastest century for SRH too. Before him, the record of scoring the fastest century for Hyderabad was in the name of David Warner, who scored a century in 43 balls against KKR in the year 2017. Travis Head has also made a record of being the Australian batsman who scored the fastest century in IPL. Before him, this record was in the name of Adam Gilchrist, who scored a century in 42 balls while playing for Deccan Chargers in 2008.
Fastest century in IPL history
The player to score the fastest century in the history of IPL is Chris Gayle, who scored a century in just 30 balls while playing for RCB in 2013. Yusuf Pathan is the batsman who has scored the fastest century in the Indian Premier League till date. In 2010, he scored a century in just 37 balls. South Africa's stormy batsman David Miller is also ahead in terms of scoring the fastest century. While playing for Punjab Kings in 2013, Miller scored a century in 38 balls.
