Ghaziabad Police of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday arrested 42-year-old Mintu alias Sunil on charges of rape. Mintu is accused of raping a 32-year-old doctor who ran a clinic in a colony of Tila Mor police station area.
Shalimar Garden ACP Siddharth Gautam told that Sunil had come to the woman's clinic two years ago and befriended her. In the complaint given to the police on Saturday, the woman said that Sunil had promised to marry her. Citing the complaint lodged by the woman, the ACP said that on this pretext Sunil exploited her sexually and financially.

'The accused took objectionable pictures'
The ACP further said, during this time he made some videos and also took objectionable photographs. Police said that he threatened the doctor several times to make his videos viral on social media. On Saturday night, Sunil reached her flat and forcibly raped her. When the woman's daughter protested against the accused, he molested and beat her.
'FIR registered under 376, 354 and POCSO Act'
ACP Siddharth Gautam said, acting on the complaint, the police on Sunday arrested Sunil, husband of Bhedapur village head of Baghpat district. An FIR has been registered against him under sections 376, 354 of IPC and POCSO Act. The matter is being investigated. After this further action will be taken.
