'Two-thirds seats are required to change the Constitution', controversial statement of BJP candidate, Akhilesh-Congress raised questions – loksabha election faizabad ayodhya bjp mp lallu singh constitution amendment controversy statement akhilesh yadav congress raised questions lclr theinsiderinsight

MP from Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh and BJP candidate Lallu Singh has given a controversial statement. Lallu Singh said that the government is formed only on 272 seats, but to change or amend the Constitution, two-thirds of the seats are required. Samajwadi Party and Congress have cornered BJP on this statement of Lallu Singh.

A video of Lallu Singh is going viral rapidly. In this, the BJP candidate is saying, “The Constitution has to be amended and a lot of work has to be done. The government is formed even in 272, but a government of 272 cannot amend the Constitution. For this, more than two-thirds majority of seats is required.” Or if a new constitution has to be made, then so.”

On this video of BJP candidate, SP President Akhilesh Yadav said that BJP wants to win not to serve or welfare of the public but to change the Constitution made by Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. He said that PDA will defeat BJP together because BJP wants to end the reservation given to backward classes, Dalits and minorities by making a new constitution.

Akhilesh Yadav said that for centuries, 4-5% people with dominant thinking want to keep 90-95% people as their slaves. That is why this time backward classes, Dalits and minorities will together defeat BJP and save the Constitution and reservation.

Election Commission should take cognizance of such statements: Akhilesh

The SP chief has also appealed to the Election Commission to take immediate cognizance of such statements. He said that what could be a bigger democratic violation than talking about fundamentally changing the Constitution. The public is asking, is the conspiracy to eliminate our rights not a violation of the code of conduct?

Congress also raised questions

Congress leader Pawan Kheda said regarding this video that the day before yesterday Modi ji had said that even if Ambedkar ji himself comes, the Constitution cannot be changed. Now Lallu Singh, the current BJP MP from Ayodhya, is openly saying that the Constitution has to be changed, hence 400 seats will have to be won. Pawan Kheda further asked the question whether Modi ji will be able to forgive him from his heart?

BJP gave ticket to Lallu Singh for the third time

Bharatiya Janata Party has expressed confidence in Lallu Singh for the third time from Faizabad Lok Sabha seat. Lallu Singh had defeated Anand Sen Yadav of Samajwadi Party in 2019. Earlier in 2014, he had also defeated SP's Mitrasen Yadav. Let us tell you that the first phase of voting will be held in Faizabad i.e. on 19th April and the results will be declared on 4th June only.
